Product Description
An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique European silver tea tray; an addition to our silverware collection.
This exceptional antique silver tray has a rectangular rounded form.
The surface of this antique tray is plain and unembellished.
The cast gallery border of this silver tray is ornamented with fruiting vine ornamentation to the interior; the posterior of the surface is plain.
The tray is encompassed with a cast border to the rim ornamented with scrolling leaf and floral decoration, on a matte background.
Either end of the tray incorporates an impressive cast handle accented with large leaf designs emanating from the central scrolling incurve to the handpiece.
This exceptional example of antique silverware is supported by four impressive cast silver bracket style feet, reflecting the design to that of the rim.
The underside of this antique silver tray with handles bears the maker's mark 'G, Prelorenzo'.
Condition
This antique tray is a exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The cast ornamentation is all very sharp.
The tray has some surface wear in keeping with age, as to be expected.
The maker's marks struck to the underside of the tray are very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this silver tray with handles.
