This listing is for an adorable antique Hubley cast iron Wire Haired Fox Terrier bookend, Model #407. This bookend was made in three sizes with this being the medium size and due to its size, the figure is substantial enough to be used as a doorstop. The bookend was made by the Hubley Mfg. Co. in the USA.
Measures 5 1/4" high (at tail), 6 1/2" long and 2 1/2" wide. Weighs 3.14 pounds.
This nice bookend is in very good to excellent Estate condition with the only noted flaw being that the original paint has some minor rubbing and chipping from normal wear. This is common due to the fact that the paint is applied on the exterior of the cast iron body and is not fired leaving the item susceptible to normal wear and handling.
