ANTQ LRG 11.25" SHREVE STERLING SILVER BASKET MINTON PERSIAN ROSE PLATE EX-COND

Description

This is a stunning SHREVE of SAN FRANCISCO STERLING SILVER HANDLED BASKET with a MINTON DINNER PLATE in the "PERSIAN ROSE" pattern forming the base of this serving piece. Made in the early 20th century, this large plate or tray measures 11 1/4" in diameter, including the sterling silver rim, and the height from the base to the top of the handle is 7". The width of the sterling silver handle, at the spot where the initial "R" is engraved, is 7/8". The sterling silver handle is stationary, and the base is marked "SHREVE & CO. STERLING". This server, both plate and basket, are in excellent condition, with no damage to either the silver or the lovely porcelain tray. This basket weighs over two pounds and will required a large box; shipping is via priority mail and includes insurance.
