    Description

You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal. Also included is a second page that has a related article (in French).
It depicts two dogs, which have treed a wild cat. The right dog looks like an English Pointer. The left looks like a red Irish Setter (back when they commonly had white chests). It is possible it is a German Longhaired pointer (
    Deutscher Langhaariger)
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a French caption below.
The caption reads: Le Chat Sauvage
which roughly translates to:  The wild Cat
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
