    Description

    This is an exceptional and rare example of an antique sterling silver piece by artisan George W. Shiebler. It is an ornate pin cushion holder, most likely turn-of-century, as the company was in business from 1876 to about 1910. This is a RARE piece, as I cannot find anything else like it. However, other sterling pieces by Shiebler command high prices.
    This round pin cushion holder is 3 1/2" wide and about 2" high. It is marked "Sterling" and has the "S" mark with wings that designates it a "Shiebler" piece. It even comes with the original tomato pin cushion, and although it is in rough condition, it still has pins and safety pins!
    Weight is 98 grams.
    Condition of the holder is overall pretty good for age, but PLEASE NOTE: It does have some dings in spots and has not been cleaned. Still, a great find for those who collect Shiebler, vintage sterling and/or rare pin cushions!
