Gerber Coburn Visionix ALB 4000 Computerized Lens Blocker, analyzer, verifier marker. Automates blocking using Wavefront Powermap Technology and Image Recognition. Powers on and passes all self checks at startup. I was able to successfully run diagnostics with all cameras and motors testing good. Easily able to navigate onscreen menus using the touch screen. I cannot find a thing wrong with this unit and I believe it works fine. It is a stand alone device or can be hooked up to a host computer.

Easily able to navigate onscreen menus using the touch screen. I cannot find a thing wrong with this unit and I believe it works fine. It is a stand alone device or can be hooked up to a host computer.  While I am able to boot up and run diagnostics you will need to acquire login credentials or a work around to actually operate this machine. I do not have the username or password.

Developed to support the streamlining of lens processing, the ALB 4000 provides automatic finish blocking adn lens power inspection in one device. With Visionix ALB 4000 you can automate the optical lab and produce lenses which are finished precisely, quickly and easily. Using two advanced technologies, Wavefront Powermap technology for lens power analysis adn image recognition for extremely precise lens blocking. Visionix bring to market a sophisticated yet user friendly blocking and inspection system. The ALB 4000 decreases manual inspection and blocking operations while reducing skilled labor and rework costs.
The ALB 4000 includes all the traditional features necessary in a standard lens blocker....and more. Using ANSI standards the ALB4000 analyzes the lens adn then indicates whether the lens is within tolerance. After this verification process the integrated blocking device automatically orients the chuck to the appropriate cylinder axis adn decentration, and then applies the block.  Easy to use and requiring no special training, the ALB 4000 features a comfortable ergonomic design and icon based touch screen.

Condition & Testing
This lens blocker is in excellent condition with little to no sign of previous use. It powers on and the internal software boots up without error. I am easily able to navigate the on screen menus using the touchscreen. All mechanical functions seem to be working as expected with the lens holder drawer automatically coming in/out and the chuck automatically raising and lowering. I was able to enter the maintenance tab and run diagnostics on both cameras, motors, lamps and sensors, and recieved "passed' results. A couple times when booting up I got the message the glass was dirty and suggested I run the Clean Wizard or replace the glass. I did not need a password to boot up the system, navigate and run diagnostics but it did ask for login credentials for calibrating and operating the system. I do not have the login name or passwords and you will have to find a work around before you can use the machine. I am assuming there is administrative username/password but I don't have it. Normally most companies will provide this information if you call them. Leaving that up to the next owner. I believe this system is well worth the effort to get up and running.
