    Large and fancy sterling silver cake plate. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1925. Round and solid well surrounded by chased flutes between scroll borders. Wide and pierced shoulder with scrolls, swags, leaves, flowers, and rinceaux. Vitruvian scroll rim. Dense ornament guaranteed to catch the big crumbs. A gorgeous addition to the tea table. Fully marked including maker's stamp, no. A9224, and date symbol.
