Details
Parafilm is a paraffin film with a paper backing that is manufactured by Bemis in Neenah, WI. Colorless, moisture-proof, and able to stretch up to 200% its normal size; this film is both durable and versatile.
Protect the integrity of research applications with a tight moisture-barrier that holds a strong seal and doesn’t release from glassware.
Flexible and self-sealing material allows it to cling around irregular shapes and surfaces. Commonly used for sealing or protecting vessels such as flasks, dishes, plates, and cuvettes.
Resistant up to 48 hours against many polar substances such as saline solutions, inorganic acids and alkaline solutions.
This parafilm is also disposable and can also stretch 200%.
The film is ductile, malleable, waterproof, odorless, and translucent.
This parafilm is non-toxic and free from plasticizers, primarily composed of polyolefins and paraffin waxes offering good resistance against acids, alkalis and some organic solvents.
