    Description

Another great thing out of my parents collection, and recently out of storage.
Unusual to find, lovely antique, hand wrought, early, colonial Mexican Silver Tray or Plate, depicting the Mexican Flag with a large Eagle in the center, holding a snake in its mouth. It measures 11 1/2" wide x 1 1/4" high, with a wonderful, flared rim. The piece is marked "sterling 925" on the reverse (shown), with another mark of some kind, however, after being tested, it shows it is 925 silver plated over brass, which is typical of the period. It retains an untouched patina, and the paper tag shown on the back, was from my father, and I have left it there

Condition is excellent vintage, rare to find, and very collectible - I have never seen another! A stunning visual piece for the collector,  to showcase on a wall, using a wire, plate-type hanger on the back, or for a table or centerpiece. Comes from a smoke free environment.
    Circa: 1910 or earlier
    Weight: 1 lb.
