VERY SPECIAL CHERISHED PIECE - HALLMARKED CARTIER HONEY POT WITH SOLID .925 FANCY DETAILED BEE FORM FINIAL LID -  2 7/8" WIDE, ALMOST 5" TALL, MID-CENTURY or DECO STYLE - Hive form lid with bee handle makes this quite elegant.
We used this honey pot on the tea table, breakfast table for fancy brunches and the bar set-up when we had a derby party or two.  Regardless of how you use this, you will be only one on the block with such an elegant classic Cartier Sterling holloware item - serve in grand high style!  This was stored in the family silver vault, we are now parting with some of the select top quality items.

ELEGANT FORM WITH CLASSIC SIMPLE DETAILS - No monogram nor removals.  These are not made like this anymore.  Offered here is an estate item with patina of gentle use.  This is the quality one would expect from the fine maker / brand of CARTIER.  Purchased in New York city long ago.  It is in excellent condition for an antique - view pictures.
NOTE: THIS LOT IS ONLY FOR THE POT WITH LID.  Only the honey pot with hallmarked sterling lid is sold here, no honey, no kitchen counter, no tray, no toast racks, no fine china, our flatware ladle/spoons teacups etc. are not included - pictured only to assist the potential buyer to see how to use this honey pot.  The red box is also not included as it goes with another item we are listing. This lot includes the honey pot with original lid.
An Extraordinary American Sterling Item - SUPERB ESTATE ITEM CONDITION, see the pictures - used on special occasions and well taken care of.  And overall this shows most minimal use - it is an antique - but it is in very good condition.  No evidence of repairs nor need for any.  Our
appraiser
said there is no auction record he could find of one of these, clearly it was a limited run with few sold.
This is an heirloom quality collection item.  Collector's items, yet eminently appropriate for contemporary use.
Parents were serious about entertaining in a way I am not.  My family invested in real quality items for gracious living.
CONDITION:  VERY GOOD - keep in mind it is used from the last century --- slight evidence of use --- older, not brand new.  As seen in pictures this looks nice!  Great wedding gift item and it could be professionally polished to make it look "brand new" if you choose.

Vintage heirloom quality, these were used for 30+ years for entertaining, as the items were acquired post World War II.
This is an outstanding, truly versatile, group/set of good weight/heft, elegant pattern.  Bid based on info above, but know these were from a very good collection of very fine household goods that were well taken care of.
No major flaws or damages not mentioned, expect general marks, spots, scratches, wear and patina commensurate with age and use of treasured serverware/flatware used for special meals/holidays.  All this has been stored away in the box for many years and a simple cleaning/polishing will make it look even more elegant on your table.
Most or all hosts would feel quite comfortable using this when entertaining the most special guests in your home.
