Simpson, Hall & Miller Sterling Silver Art Nouveau 9.5" Dish / Tray with Mermaid

This listing is for a gorgeous Simpson, Hall & Miller Sterling Silver Art Nouveau 9.5" oval dish/tray, c. 1900. The tray is decorated with a mermaid swimming in waves on one end and swirling waves that surround the border of the entire dish. There is an intertwined fancy engraved 3-letter monogram "E C K" in the center. This unusual dish/tray was made by Simpson, Hall & Miller of Wallingford CT in the late 1890's and is marked with the Simpson, Hall & Miller trademark stamp and "Sterling, C 2884". The company was in business from 1866 to 1898 when they became part of the International Silver Co. when it was formed in 1898.
Measures 1 3/8" high, 9 3/8" long and 6 1/2" wide. Weighs 200 grams.
This nice tray is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage or flaws.
