    STERLING SILVER REPOUSSE FOOTED INKWELL TRAY
    MADE BY A. JACOBI & Co 1890
    Pleased to offer this rare American sterling silver footed repousse inkwell tray.
    In over 25 years on eBay have never come across this style of inkwell.  Normally, these came as flat style tray 6 by 6 inch inkwell.  The entire base, stem and tray of the inkwell displays a highly detailed & crisp non-repeating repousse of flora and fauna. The tray and base are aesthetically pleasing to the eye by the slightly tapered pinched sides of each square.
    Please note: The original inkwell is missing its cover/cap.
    I have somehow misplaced the top and thus the price reflects a 50% reduction in original listed price of ,500.
    The inkwell stands 4 inches tall.  The tray width is 6 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The base is 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches wide.  The inkwells weighs 265 grams.  Clearly stamped A. Jacobi & Co. Pattern # 148 Sterling & makers mark of the building.
    A gorgeous unique piece of American silver for use or display!
