Rare pair of sterling silver petit-four fan plates. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Ovoid with teardrop scrolls on soft ribbing, and scrolled frames with alternating flowers and pierced diaper. Regal fleur de lys handle and scrolled frame engraved with interlaced script monogram. Scrolls and flowers applied to rim. Four leaf-mounted supports. A low spread form we affectionately call the "platypus". Fully marked including pattern no. 11144 (first produced in 1892), director's letter T (1892-1902) and consecutive order numbers (3132 and 3133).
