    Description

    Chrysanthemum sterling silver meat platter. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Shaped oval well with tree of life to collect the rivulets of precious pan juices. Irregular rim with the famous chrysanthemum flower heads alternating with leaves in dense and tactile arrangement. Four volute scroll supports with same. A rare piece in the celebrated pattern, a New World interpretation of a Japanese motif, that was first produced in 1880. Fully marked including pattern no. 5730 and director's letter T (1892-1902).
