A scarce and outstanding pair of Schnauzer dog bookends by Marion Bronze of Metuchen, N.J., with the original company paper label still attached underneath one bookend. Outstanding detail! The bookends are bronze clad, not solid bronze, and they are heavy enough to actually hold a stack of books. Lovely aged patina. Each one measures 5 1/4" tall by 6 3/4" long. Very similar to Armor Bronze, another well known company from the same era. Marion Bronze was in business from 1921 until 1958. A great set!
